Domestic Competition Entries

DOMESTIC COMPETITION ENTRIES

Updated 26.11.2024 (chapter 3, women in men's doubles)

Domestic competitions are entered on the Badminton Finland's own Tournamentsoftware page (except for BE/BWF sanctioned competitions played in Finland, which are entered in Suomisport events) https://badmintonfinland.tournamentsoftware.com/.

Before the entry, the player must:

1) Ensure that the competition license for the season is bought, paid and registered to TSW. It is advisable to do the purchase in good time.

NOTE! - The error message in Tournamentsoftware about no membership means that the license payment information is not in TSW - please remember to pay the license!
2) Remember also that you have to really be a member (member fee should be paid yearly) of the club you select in Suomisporti to be your club

3) Register (create a username) with Tournamentsoftware, if it’s done earlier, then Log in

Make the entry to the competition

1) Log in to Tournament Software.

2) Select a competition - when there are more than one competition on the page, you can use the restrictions: time period, distance from your location, competition type, game formats and age group.

3) Select all the levels and disciplines you want to participate in from the allowed ones and doubles pairs (both players in a pair must make the entry) and select your pair(s), a pair cannot be selected if his/her license is not valid) - the competition information will have the (partly) organizer's restrictions (which you can see from the link "I agree to the tournament terms & conditions), which the system will take into account. Selectable categories will be displayed based on gender, age and player level from those defined for the competition. Unfortunately, if a woman is entering to a men's category in a doubles, she will not be able to find a woman, neither the men as a partner in the selection list (because of the men's discipline) - the partner must be entered in the additional registration details.

4) Accept the entry - you will receive an email about your entry and any changes you make to it to the email address given in your profile. If you do not get the email, check your trash box and email address in TSW and your entry status in your TSW Account profile.

In your profile, you can see all the competitions you have entered and you can change, including withdraw, those entries for which the deadline has not expired. If you have to withdraw from a competition for any reason after the entry deadline has passed, remember to ALWAYS inform the competition organizer by e-mail and/or, at the last minute, by SMS.

IF you have problems with your entry, please ask for advice or at least let us know at kilpailut@sulkapallo.fi. It is very rare that a competition organizer can solve "system problems" reported only to him and may be in breach of the competition rules. If you have a system problem, someone else may have it too, so it needs to be sorted out and fixed. An attempted registration by text message or phone call is not the solution to the problem, but maybe the start of a rule violation.

For any enquiries relating to the competing, please send an e-mail to kilpailut@sulkapallo.fi.
